    Got a lot of requests to paint the original, so I thought I'd oblige. The sculpture was going to be too complex to mold in any cost effective way, so I opted for painting directly on top of monster clay (which is silly). Monster clay never dries; it's still malleable and is susceptible to sagging or melting from heat, so I would never suggest this as a way to finish a piece. It's always been the plan to chop up the sculpture and recycle the clay, so at least this way I get some more life out of the project.

    Like I said in the finished sculpt video, this is a great sculpture of the Avengers that's Not based on the actors that made the movies. Although Rocket still looks like a bear cub with sunnies and Black Widow and Nebula look like strange man.

    The sculpting is impressive but the paint job needs more detail, I know you painted in monster clay which doesn't help, I hope someday you can revisit this one if it's possible in the traditional way you worked, but your sculpting is awesome.
